What was the first thing the State Department of the newly elected US goverment did after it got re-elected? They recognized "Macedonia" as the official name of FYROM. Personally I never really cared that much about this issue, it could have been settled 50 years ago during Tito's time, now it is just to late. But the fact is that many people here feel strongly about it and it is not going to win any friends for the US in Greece. In fact it looks like someone is trying their best to turn us into rabid anti-Americans (as if we aren’t anti-American enough already). |
