Changing Radio's Processor Usage
I've been playing quite a bit with Radio's prefs to reduce the processor burden on my older Mac now hosting my Radio weblog. I've made things a bit easier by changing some buried preferences: - user.radio.prefs.maxDataFiles -- was 3, now 15
- user.radio.prefs.thread.secsBetweenChecks -- was 10, now 60
- user.radio.prefs.upstream.secsBetweenChecks -- was 10, now 120
And under user.radio.prefs.glossary: - flReadNightly to false
- logging to false
These settings help the agents that watch over Radio to run less often and thereby use less of my processor.
