Yahoo! 360° - Sample Page
I'd never had a Yahoo account until I wanted to join one of their groups lately. But this 360 thing makes a more compelling case. Blog. Podcast. Photos. Lots more.

ORF - Surround Test
Introduction
Seven 5.1-main microphone configurations (see below) were compared in a listening test.
During a rehearsal of the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna two different music samples (Mozart and Berio, representing contrasting dynamic characteristics) were recorded. 18 participants had to assess different characteristics of these sound samples (see the questionnaire) in a blind test. The results of these assessments are reproduced as mean values in 9 tables.” The page includes information and photos for each setup. There's an 11 MB .doc download with much more information, including the results of the listening tests. The paper is in English and was written in 2001.
