Microsoft wants to put the brakes on HD Radio
This is an interesting little tidbit. Apparently Microsoft is asking the FCC to halt adoption of HD Radio, questioning both the codec and the mechanism for Digital Audio Broadcasting. Last month the FCC requested comments from all interested regarding the proposed standards.
Microsoft has stepped up and wants the FCC to hold off adopting the recommendations in the NRSC-5 document. What exactly do they see wrong with it?

CBC faces strike after 87% vote in favour
The CBC's largest union has voted overwhelmingly in favour of a strike if its negotiators can't get a deal with the corporation.
The Canadian Media Guild (CMG) announced Tuesday afternoon that its members had voted 87.3 per cent to support taking strike action, if necessary.
The union said 67 per cent of employees turned out to vote.
The CMG represents about 5,500 technicians, journalists and administrative staff in most parts of Canada, except the province of Quebec and the city of Moncton, N.B.
