CBC labour deadline looms within a week
CBC and the Canadian Media Guild continued negotiating through the
weekend and say they'll keep meeting through this week. But there are
now only six days away from a strike or lockout
deadline. There are higher stakes this time, as
the Canadian Media Guild has more CBC members than during previous
labour disputes; it merged with the CEP, a union representing technical
and engineering staff at CBC.
