The Globe and Mail: CBC lockout slams door on artists
The longer the CBC lockout lasts, the more it will hinder the promotion of grassroots and independent art scenes across Canada, say publicists and artists. The lockout is causing problems for more than just musicians. Publishers, for example, must search for alternate outlets to promote Canadian writers whom the CBC would typically interview.

Today's t-shirt on Flickr
Made this last night. Seems to be a big hit on the picket line.

I want Todd's T!

Where's Bobby?
All these days, all these people, and not a single word from the President and CEO, inside or out.

More disappointing, perhaps, is the fact that no one expects him to say anything useful anyways. Truth be told, we all stopped listening long ago.

I know he has plenty of smart people around him in Ottawa, and I know they are strategizing out the yingyang, going around and around in circles, like, well... you know, polishing and buffing some document or other.

Oh, Hi!, Oh!

Ah...I see Ohio's abstinence-only sex education policy is working well.

U.S. televangelist calls for assassination of Chavez

Targeting Venezuelan President, Pat Robertson says it would be ‘cheaper than starting a war'
[Via The Globe and Mail - International News]
"“We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability,” Mr. Robertson said Monday on the Christian Broadcast Network's The 700 Club.

“We don't need another $200-billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator,” he said of the democratically elected Mr. Chavez, who is a frequent critic of U.S. foreign policy.

“It's a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with.”"

10.4: Another warning on Address Book data loss

Here's an important warning about Address Book and iSync: Make sure there's no pairing between Adress Book and your phone when you perform synchronization using iSync thru Bluetooth for Symbian OS mobile phones.
