Heritage Committee orders CBC execs to appear
The top
executives of the CBC have been summoned to appear before the Heritage
Committee. And among the items it wants to discuss: Whether the CBC
should continue to receive federal funding during a similar
dispute.

The Committee said the meeting will happen after the lockout is over
so that they don't interfere with negotiations and that they won't be
limited in the scope of questions they could ask.
The Committee is requesting to see Robert Rabinovich, Jane Chalmers,
Richard Stursberg, and George Smith.
A source within the Committee says that should an agreement not be
reached between the CMG and CBC by Monday, "some heads will be seriously
knocked together." Apparently, MPs are being flooded by complaints about
the current CBC programming.
