FCP Tip: Perfecting the Ken Burns
This tip is directed at people who love the Ken Burns
effect which essentially is the slow zoom into a photo. The effect at times induces flickers while moving (especially
vertically) which is unacceptable if it is meant for broadcast. This usually tends to happen when the photo itself is
not scanned but rather shot at -- something that happens in run-n-shoot documentaries all the time. Creative Mac has
some really nice tips in how to eliminate those flickers. Even to those quite familiar with Final Cut can learn a thing
or two from this article.

CBC Radio’s podcast expansion on its way!
As you may know, CBC Radio will be launching a significant expansion of its podcasting trial soon. I’m really excited by what we’ve got planned for you. There’ll be something for everyone: Some of our most-requested shows — plus some new regional podcasts and shows you can only hear via podcast!
While I can’t tell you the lineup yet, I will tell you this: We’ve listened to all your Ideas over the past few months and, Currently, we’re setting up the servers. We’re expecting to get swamped, but we’re sure our I.T. staff will be able to respond to a meltdown As It Happens.
This post will self-destruct shortly.
