Great Prints from your Mac
Producing good prints that even come close to what you see on your computer monitor is still the most frustrating aspect of digital photography. It doesn't have to be, however. Just remember these three steps: calibrate your screen, image edit your photo, and configure your printer.

Sucking out the iTunes Marrow
I hate having to use the iTunes interface directly. It's slow. It's annoying. It's not macro-friendly. So last night I decided to throw together some code to grab featured items from the iTunes Music Store and show them all together in Safari. From the command line. With working links, of course.

Australian Government sets start date for digital radio
Australians are set to receive digital radio broadcasts starting January 1, 2009, according to Federal Communications Minister Helen Coonan.
The national digital radio rollout will begin in six capital cities, using the European Eureka 147 system. Trials have been running in Sydney and Melbourne since 2003.

This is the first time complete and total access to original tracks with remix and sampling possibilities have been officially offered on line. In keeping with the spirit of the original album, Brian and David are offering for download all the multitracks on two of the songs. Through signing up to the user license, and in line with Creative Commons licenses, you are free to edit, remix, sample and mutilate these tracks however you like. Add them to your own song or create a new one. Visitors are welcome to post their mixes or songs that incorporate these audio files on the site for others to hear and rate. Stay tuned, the remix site is coming soon!
