CBC Sports Online : 2002 Winter Olympics, Salt Lake City, Utah : newsLithuania's Margarita Drobiazko and Povilas Vanagas finished a surprising fifth despite skating a clean program. Italy's Barbara Fusar Poli and Maurizio Margaglio won bronze despite two major gaffes involving a trip in their original dance and a fall in their free dance.

The judges's marks indicated that the Lithuanians matched the Italians and the Canadians on technical merit, but scored lower in overall presentation.

Oh dear.
