Union says Toronto garbage strike 'could be over quickly'
Negotiations between the City of Toronto and its striking outside
workers resumed Monday - and there is already a more optimistic
attitude. Union president Brian Cochrane told a news conference he
believes the dispute can be resolved. "We believe this strike could be
over quickly," he said.

Let's hope so. It's only been a few days and already the city looks pretty grotty. Stinks too. And 31 degree, hazy, muggy weather doesn't help.

Brazil fans celebrate World Cup win
Monday may be Canada Day, but Sunday belonged to Brazil as thousands of
ecstatic soccer lovers partied in the streets.
