Tourism spending in Canada rebounds
After nine months on the decline, real tourism spending in Canada rebounded in the first quarter of 2002, Statistics Canada reported Tuesday. F U L L   S T O R Y
[CBC News]'Foreign travelers were the force behind the surge in spending, with their purchases rising 3 per cent from the fourth quarter of 2001. StatsCan said the number of international visits to Canada was up 7.7 per cent from the fourth quarter.'
