Had a great time at the Fillmore last night and saw The Tragically Hip. The Hip are a great Canadian band and were able to draw together a bunch of Canadians and their friends (including some of the guys on the QuickTime team) from the bay area. It was a really great show!

On a side note, my 20GB iPod proved itself big time. For the last couple of weeks, I've been able to saturate myself with the Hip with all of their music with me all the time - from my stereo at home, my car, office and everywhere else I happened to be. Wow. [Ken Bereskin's Radio Weblog]

From the Baltimore Chronicle: "Go get your ten-billionth burger, America. Fatten your already fat asses with bacteria-and-hormone-ridden meat and do nothing as you sit stupefied before your mind-numbing television sets awaiting the next episode of sad families being humiliated on "Cops."

This article was published over a week ago, but I hadn't heard of, or seen it yet. If only 10% of it is true, then we should be very afraid. Deep in my gut, I feel W.R. McDougall has hit it all squarely on the nose. Time for action America! [Adam Curry: Adam Curry's Weblog]

Holy crap. When I read this on Adam's site I thought, 'man, that sounds like something we Canucks think about Americans but are too polite to say out loud.' So I go to the site and I see that in fact it is 'Open Letter to America from a Canadian'! Ooh la la. I agree with the main thrust of the letter but that lad does seem a little over the top in his paranoia.
