Quebec man arrested after cross border tank-up released from Maine jail

A man from Quebec who was arrested in October after zipping across the border for gas was let out of jail in Maine on Thursday afternoon. F U L L   S T O R Y

After a month in jail and he'd probably have been in there longer if Powell hadn't come to Ottawa today.

Powell makes short visit to Ottawa
U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell was in Ottawa on Thursday, where he lauded what he called the "treasured relationship" between the two nations. Powell also indicated the U.S. may be looking for Canada's support in any military action against Iraq. F U L L   S T O R Y
