Deficit-ridden ESO celebrates 50 years with major donation

-- The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra received a 50th-anniversary donation yesterday from one of its most illustrious benefactors to help in its fight against its deficit.Dr. Stuart Davis, 86, a retired chemistry professor from the University of Alberta, announced he was writing a personal cheque for $250,000.
