CBC News: Conflicting Iraq motions dominate Parliament 'Canadian Alliance leader Stephen Harper presented a parliamentary motion Thursday apologizing to the U.S. for "offensive and inappropriate statements" made by some members of the Liberal government. The government immediately replied with a motion of its own, reaffirming Canada's decision not to participate in the war on Iraq.'

So, what do Canadians have to be proud of? 'Our civil war was a bar fight that lasted a little over an hour. The only person who was arrested in our civil war was an American mercenary, who slept in and missed the whole thing... but showed up just in time to get caught.'
