California still ranks as the largest technology centre in North America, the 2003 Deloitte Fast Technology 500 has reported.
Canada, which was ranked as a single grouping rather than by region or province, came second in the study. The Silicon Valley of the North has surpassed even the New-York Tri-State area according to the survey, which monitors the fastest-growing technology companies in North America.

There's been a history-making breakthrough in the talks to unite-the-right. The leaders of the Progressive Conservatives and the Canadian Alliance have reached an agreement in principle to merge their parties. A surprising breakthrough. I wonder if it will hold. Interesting to think that Peter has just become leader of the PCs and may very well soon no longer be the leader of a party.
