Telegraph | Travel | Montreal: Cool in more ways than one < 2:18:18 AM>.

On the Boulevard Rene Levesque I stamp my feet clear of snow and wait for a gap in the flashing traffic. A young woman, elegant in minimal fur, sweeps alongside. Snowflakes alight on exposed cleavage, she rolls her eyes skywards with a wry grin, huddles uninvited under my umbrella. A gap appears, she hooks her arm into mine, sashays across the ice of the road on stacked heels, disengages at the other side and with a turn and a wave descends into the underworld. Where else but in Montreal?
