Canada's Kyle Shewfelt captured the gold medal in the floor event in men's gymnastics Sunday, giving Canada its first-ever Olympic artistic gymnastics medal.
Great news at last. By all appearances a sweet fellow and definitely the best on this day. Canadian men's four rowers win silver in photo finish  < 2:23:08 AM>.The Canadian men's four rowing team of Cam Baerg, Jake Wetzel, Tom Herschmiller and Barney Williams raced to a silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics on Saturday. The Canadian crew contended for gold the entire race, but were nipped at the finish by Great Britain. The result came down to a photo finish, with the British boat winning the gold by a razor-thin margin of.08 seconds. A very exciting race. It actually didn't feel to bad to come second in this one. |
