CBC News: Atlantic provinces start digging out < 12:16:12 AM>.

"Between 30 and 65 centimetres of snow had fallen on the region as of late Monday, with Yarmouth, N.S., recording the highest accumulation. Winds of up to 128 km/h whipped the snow into three-metre-high drifts in places.”

There's an incredible photo on this page.

CBC News: Snow traps Maritime drivers in cars < 12:15:02 AM>.

"A number of travellers were stranded until Monday afternoon along roads in the Tantramar Marsh area, in southwestern New Brunswick and northeastern Nova Scotia.”

This can be a wicked stretch of highway in the winter. I remember my dad driving me back to Mount A. one Sunday afternoon. A truck blew across the highway in front of us. A police cruiser pulled up behind us and a moment later a car slammed into it. The wind was pretty amazing. Visibility was very, very low. I guess we crawled along to the exit after the wind settled a bit.
