This class is really small; only four people! We may get more people later, but for now we can enjoy having a small class.
We started the new unit tonight and looked at different languages. We talked about the popular languages to study in Japan. Everyone thought that English was number one and probably German was number two. Check the net and see what you can find. I wasn't able to find anything. You might want to check with the NHK site and see which of the language programs sells the most textbooks.

This class has grown and now has nine people. There are three new faces; Nobuharu, Yukari and Yoshie .Yukari moved up from Step 1 and Nobuharu is coming back after a two-year break. Yoshie is new to JOY and she seemed a little nervous today.
Kimiko brought back some snacks from China and Mieko brought some Harrods tea she bought in Sapporo, so after class people enjoyed getting to know each other a little better over tea and snacks.
The homework for next week is to pick one TV commercial you like and write down the key words, the product it is selling and why you like it. Also do number on page 55.
