We checked the homework and I was a little surprised that some people didn't know where some of the dishes came from. Seiichro came up with a dish from New Zealand that no one knew. I think I have eaten every one of the dishes on the the list.

We had another new student join us today, so we have reached five, but I would like to have one more person. Having an even number makes doing pair work a lot easier.

People looked into the recycling programs in Tokachi and from April next year the garbage is going to have to separated even more. I wonder how many people will do it, especially, when there are the communal garbage stations in each neighborhood. I mentioned that in the States people have to pay for garbage pick up, so I put residential garbage fees into Google and got a lot of sites. This page from the Washington State Utilities Commission has information, but no rates, that will give you an idea how garbage is collected in the U.S.
