Boy oh boy people in the Step 2 classes did not like the homework this week. Everyone thought the reading and writing exercises were too difficult. People were too worried about trying to understand every little thing in the reading. That wasn't the important part. The important thing was to decide if you would like to use the product or not. To do that you didn't need to understand everything. You could have made that decision from the headline.
In unit 8 we will be talking about mysteries. The homework for next week is to do the warm-up exercise on page 59.

People seemed to enjoy not having any homework or preparing a news item for this week. Not having the news segment did give us more time to spend on the video. The video is set in Stamford, Connecticut and we today heard about the Fairchild Hotel. Go to the city's website and see if you can find out if it is really the tallest building in the city.
I mentioned that there was a Pizzeria Uno in the background of today's episode. I said that it was mostly an East Coast restaurant chain, but after looking over their website I can see that it is an international chain now and not just pizza! Please add a comment 1:05:28 PM
