1C

This class had a few people traveling over the weekend. Karou went to Sapporo, and Maki went to Furano, others were doing things around Obihiro. This class has the same homework as 1L andI am looking forward to seeing what kind of advice people come up.

1L

The homework about house rules was interesting. People had some that were the same, but there were many different ones. The homework for next week is to write 5 sentences with advice for travelers to Japan. Next week we will have a small number because Makiko and Mitsue will be in Morocco. Of course, they have the special homework to send us a postcard.

We listened to the tape again and tried to get the main ideas and more details. A question came about the poet and her grandmother and what language the books were in. The grandmother was from the Mohawk Nations and her father was Oneida , but its clear what languages she speaks besides English. She mentioned that she grew up in Green Bay, Wisconsin which is very famous for football. There is no homework for next week, but there will be a challenging lesson awaiting you next week.
