Slowly, but surely the number of students in this class is increasing. Kana will be joining us next week and we have Yoko. All we need now is everyone to show up at the same time. I mentioned Luddites in class tonight, but everyone seemed comfortable with technology.

The homework for next week is page 99. Listen to the CD and follow the directions. There are a lot of good words in the activity so listen carefully.

Today we only had four people. Yoshie had to go to a funeral and Keizo was in Sapporo for a meeting. We heard the endings to the stories. Kimiko and Meiko were in the same group, but there endings were very different. Kimiko's had a happy ending and Meiko's was sad. I asked everyone to mail me their stories so that I can post them to the site, but people didn't seem too excited by the idea.

The homework for next week is page number 1 on page 66 and to also find out the origins of the Japanese Labor Thanksgiving Day

People's stories were very interesting and the endings people came up with were very different from their partner's. I hope some of you will e-mail me your stories so I can post them. I think other students would enjoy reading them.

People also had fun comparing ideas about what is important to people at different ages. People had many different ideas.
