2G

Shizuko stopped by tonight to say she couldn't come to class tonight because her daughter was home. She said she would be back next week. This Saturday is a special one for Saeko because she will graduate. She thinks that she will probably cry that day.

We talked about how old people were when they did different things for the first time. In this class most of the people answered no comment to the question about the first time they kissed a boy. That was the same as the other Step 2 classes.

The homework for next week is to find an old Japanese saying about the weather. Make sure to translate it into English.

Kumiko was back today, but she seemed a little rusty after her 4-week break. We started the Unit 11B today and talked about different kinds of occupations in journalism. I forgot to mention a new kind of publishing called weblogs. This site is a weblog and there thousands around the world. I don't know too many in Japan, but is this one.

The homework for next week is to write the story using the notes from your interview.
