We talked about what people thought the Japanese dream was at the beginning of class. It seemed the consensus was that people wanted the freedom to pursue their interests and careers.

I hope Mai is having a good time in Okinawa and that she remembers to send a postcard. Akiko came in with a pillow today because she has a slipped disk and needed to sit on something soft. She hurt her back trying to lift a 5kg box of clay. Junichi did a lot of driving last weekend because he had to go to the funeral of a friend who passed away in Hakodate.
