Masato was the only person absent tonight, but I am sure he is busy with visiting his students' homes. Everyone remembered the names easily, but had a little more trouble with the answers to last week's questions. Tonight we found out a some more about people. Next week we will get started with the textbook. We will start page 12. There is no homework for next week.

Naomi's cake was delicious and I did share it with my wife and she loved it too. We will have to have a pot luck lunch in the fall so that she can bring a bigger sample!

The homework last week was to think about your learning style. As I said in class you should work on the points that you numbered as 5 and 6. You don't like those, so they are probably you weak points.

We talked a little about university majors and there are many different kinds. This is a link to just some of the majors at Harvard. Next wee we will focus more on occupations. The homework is to make a list of five occupation and words you might use to describe it. You can use some for the book, but it would be better if you came up with new ones.
