We talked about working parents and the difficulties they face. It seems like the problem is the same in the States and Japan. This comic strip (click on strip fix) and read the last few days. It talks about a couple thinking about the wife going back to work and the husband staying home to take care of their daughter. It is drawn by a Canadian woman I believe.

Most everyone did something special for Mother's Day last Sunday. Akio gave her mother-in-law a bouquet and she shed tears of happiness. This coming Sunday Ritsuko is going to be busy because her son is going to have an engagement ceremony.
We started Unit 2 and went through the adjectives to describe hair color, body type, face shape, personality, age, and hair style. The homework for next week is to look at the words again and to see which ones are positive/negative, used for men or women, find the words that are similar or opposite.
