Only Noriko was absent this evening, but Yoko came a little late. This is the second week in a row that we didn't take a break at 8 o'clock. Is it too difficult? I prefer not having the break.
People did very well with the activities; especially the Duet. I heard almost no Japanese. We still need to work a little more on the eye contact.
There is a lot of homework next week. Do the writing exercises on page 88 and write seven sentences about your partner using the information you got during the Duet. Also look over how to spell the months of the year. There could be atest next week! Please add a comment 1:36:52 PM

Atsuko couldn't make it today because she had to go to her kids' school for Parents Day. She going to go to Pops English as a make up class. We finished talking about fashion and Naoko found out that Gucci has been accused of using sweatshops to make their products. Other students weren't able to find anything. We will see what the Monday class finds.
We talked a little bit about Japanese brands and focused on Uniqlo. We talked about why people liked the clothes and whether or not it had peaked .
The homework for next week is to find out about Tom Hanks and to write 10 sentences using the 9 words in the book on page 11 plus jealous. Also don't do the reading before class. Please add a comment 1:33:59 PM
Morning Plaza
People made some interesting cards for their homework. There was a little misunderstanding about nationality and country, but by the end people had it figured out.
We started the unit on adverbs of frequency and here is a quiz you can try. At the end of class you interviewed your partner about their typical day.
