Hiromi was back tonight. She said she had a cold last week. The numbers in this class have dropped off the last few weeks. I guess everyone must be busy. Toshi said he went out to the Millennium Forest last week. I have been there several times and the drive getting there is very nice. It is easy to get lost, and some of the intersections can be a little dangerous so be careful.
We practiced giving the time and people seemed to have fun making clocks using their arms. The confusing part was which arm was the long hand and which one was the short hand. We will do a little more with this next week.

Haruko joined us today, so even though Yoshie was absent we had five people. I shared the postcard that Hiroko sent. It was nice that she sent the card, but I wished she had written it in English.
We started talking about music and Haruko was the only person who felt music was an important part of her life. I know many people that just love music and have to have it playing all the time. I am not one of them. I like music, but I can live without it.
We did the reading about the Vienna Boys Choir. This is an interesting article about the daily life of the boys in the choir.

People are getting more and more relaxed when speaking English and not as many people freeze up when I walk by during the warm up activity. Still there are times when I here some Japanese. It is usually the transition between activities. Everyone will do a good job of speaking English only during the activity, but when I say stop people will swtich to Japanese. Remember try to keep going in English only.
