We had two observers this evening and it looks like they are going to join the Thursday Step 1 class. We continued studying the adverbs of frequency. In the Duet activity Mayu and Mayu both guessed their partners' answers correctly. They must have ESP.

The homework for next week is to use your partner's answers to write 9 sentences.

Yoshie had some unexpected business come up so she was absent today. Mika tried ostrich meat for a BBQ last week. She said it was pretty good, but a little tough. Takiko went to Ikeada to see a model house. She isn't planning to build a new house, but was just looking. Afterwards she went to play park golf. Kimiko went out to dinner with friends and Ikuko went to a memorial service for a friend who died last month.

The homework was to write about three things you had to do as a child and three things you didn't have to do. The answers were similar and the phrase hand-me-down came up. It was the first time for everyone to hear it.

We practiced the dialogue which was about rules in a youth hostel. This link will take to a page of rules for German youth hostels.
