Yasuko shared her memories of her Barbie dolls tonight and then we moved on to the differences in communication styles between men and women. The article we read seems to have a lot in common with the book Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus. People had heard of the book, but no one had read it. Masami made an interesting point. She said it seemed most of these types of books in Japan were translations and she couldn't think of any by Japanese authors. If you are in a book store this week take a look and see if this is true.

I told everyone that Yosuke had moved to the Tuesday night Step 2 class instead of taking two Step 1 classes. He is planning to go to Australia in November. Akiko was back today. She was sick most the week, but was feeling better by the weekend. She went to a wedding on Sunday. Satoko also went to a wedding on Saturday. She played hand bells and it went well.
We went over the homework and did the Duet exercise. In today's lesson several new words and phrase came up. They were:

humid nuclear family
