We read the poem Mending Wall by Robert Frost and were able to listen to him read the poem by going to this site. If you would like to read some different interpretations of the poem go here.

Each person got three lines to paraphrase for next week. I am looking forward to seeing your work.

It sounds like Akiko and Satoko had a good time on Saturday night. They didn't get home very early. Mai went to a jazz cafe in Shimizu and then went out to a hot spring near Kutari. She said that both places were very nice. Kazumi had planned to go to Ikeda with her family, but they canceled because of the rain. They went to Rancho for lunch instead. Junichi went to Sapporo to pick up his sculptures after the exhibition closed. It was just a one day trip, so he was very busy. Ritsuko had a quiet time at home most of the weekend, but did study English at Doshin Center on Saturday.

There were a lot of interesting answers to the questions in the Ensemble activity. This class was just like the night class. At first it was difficult to answer with three sentences, but with a little practice it got easier and easier.
