We reviewed telling time and people were much quicker this week. I wonder if everyone followed my advice and practiced thinking the English time whenever they looked at a clock.
The numbers are getting smaller every week. Yuka and Kaori where are you? Come back when you have a chance.
The homework for next week is the Language Check also make sure to take a look at p. 104 and the Check it Out. There are some good explanations on how to use any and some.
Yumiko was a little worried at first because she was the only person, but it ended up that only Yoshie was absent. We did the listening exercise about the history of the guitar. There were several new points for me. I found this site, if you want to learn more.
For the homework next week you have a choice. You can write an informal letter like the one on page 29 or you can give your opinion about one of the situations on page 30. If you like you can do both!
Naoko had a news item about the Hokkaido government's plans to eradicate the North American raccoon. They are a big problem in the center of Hokkaido. I mentioned that hunting raccoons was a done in parts of the USA. This site from the Conservation Commission of Missouri gives a lot of information on the subject. Please add a comment 1:28:57 PM

We are getting regular group of 16 people that show up every week. There are four or five people we haven't seen in months. I wonder if they will be coming back soon.
We practiced giving directions today and people were getting pretty good at it except you were able to look at a map as your partner explained how to get somewhere. Next week the homework is to pick three locations on the north side of Obihiro station. Think about how you would give directions to that point. Your partner will have to try to find the location.
