Yuki joined us tonight. She was in Greg's Step4, but decided to take the German class at that time, so decided to move to this class.
We did the listening exercise about the history of the guitar. People did well with listening, but had a difficult time thinking of what some of the key words might be.
For the homework for next week you have a choice. You can write and informal letter to a friend or give your opinion about one of the role page options on page 30. Please add a comment 6:38:01 PM
My Weekend
I really wanted to get three things accomplished this weekend: get the firewood split and stacked, the garden weeded and mulched and the compost piles turned over. I was able to do them all, and put in some hammock time. What a great weekend.
Saturday morning (6:30) started with the neighborhood cleaning. After that was finished I had breakfast and read the news on the internet. Then it was back outside to get to work on my projects. I started with splitting wood and things went quickly for awhile because the logs weren't too hard. Later I got into some knotty ones and had to break out the wedge and sledge hammer. That makes it a lot tougher and more tiring. When I wanted to take a break I would switch to weeding the garden which used a different set of muscles. Once I was rested it was back to splitting wood. Finally late in the afternoon I decided to call it quits and just did some trimming and grass cutting.
Sunday I knew we were going to have a BBQ at lunch, so I got up and started working on getting the compost turned over and the vegetable garden mulched. Our neighbor came over to bring us some fresh potatoes and asparagus and she commented on how clean the garden looked. Until Saturday it was a weed jungle! After lunch I was able to catch a few winks in the hammock to top off a very satisfying weekend. Please add a comment 2:54:01 PM
