Masami almost got a private lesson again this week, but Yasuko came about 7:40. I would like to thank Yasuko for helping me out. She spent the day helping out a group of people from Sterling College in Vermont. I think she was really tired.
We did the reading about American Sign Language and the idea of natural signing. There was a lot of new information for me in the article. I found this site which may answer the questions you had that I couldn't answer. Please add a comment 2:26:16 PM

Satoko was absent last week because she had to practice for her younger daughter's sports day and now this week her older daughter has the chicken pox. Akiko was also gone today becuase she had a bad heachache. Mineko called and said she would be absent, but I don't know why.
Today people did a very good job staying in English. The point I want to work on the next few lessons and next semester is explaining what something means to your partner when they don't understand. Now when someone uses a word their partner doesn't understand they quickly tell them the meaning in Japanese. You can't do that with someone who doesn't speak Japanese. If your partner doesn't understand then try to explain, give examples, but don't just say the word in Japanese.
The homework for next week is the Language Check. Remember next week is our last class. Please add a comment 2:23:08 PM
