We continued talking about comparatives and superlatives. People didn't do a very good job of guessing the animal that their partner was thinking of. The homework for next week is the writing exercise for Unit 3 on page 90. Tom will probably also be giving you a winter vacation homework assignment. Next week you won't use the textbook. Rie joined us for a make up class, but Keiko wasn't here. We went of the homework and it seems like people understand how to use the pattern, but it still takes awhile for them to think of what to say.
At the end of class we talked about Winter English and how to talk about different aspects of winter; from moving to snow to driving on the ice. I will be gone next week, so I gave everyone their winter vacation homework. It is basically try to read English stories or books. After the break you can give your classmates a summary. Mitsuyuki was back from his trip to Italy and he brought us some delicious chocolates. Miho went to Finding Nemo. Kaori was happy because her husband gave her a dishwasher.
We talked about different types of movies and if you want to read about movies there are a lot of good sites on the web. You can go to one with many reviews or directly to the offical site of the movie. You can also find sites for your favorite actor or actress.
