4A

Chiaki was back tonight. She said she was absent last week because she had a wisdom tooth pulled and her jaw was swollen. She is going to have the other one pulled on Christmas Day. Nice Christmas present!

People's three minute talks weren't really three minutes. One of the things to work on is putting together longer thought and not just respond to questions. Explaining your own ideas is a very important and is something you can practice at home. Take a topic from the news and think about your opinion. How you would explain yourself in English? What vocabulary would you need?

I forgot to mention a show I saw on NHK yesterday morning. It is called Japanology. It is about Japan and is in English for foreigners in Japan and overseas. I think this is a show you should try to watch every week.

Remember the homework for next week is to pick an event that is happening around New Years and be prepared to explain it to Lisa.

If you want to know if I am seeing the northern lights when I am in Alaska you can go to this site.
