Tonight's activity was challenging, but I think people enjoyed it. I mentioned that I got The Gift of the Magi from the Gutenberg Project. I have gotten other stories from there, but I don't really like reading on the screen. It makes me tired and I don't read the text as carefully.

Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Everyone was here today except for Kazumi, who did a make up class last night. We checked the homework and everyone's announcement was for a Christmas or New Year's party. Akiko made a small mistake when she was reading hers. She said the party fee would be 1 million yen instead of 1,000 yen. Junichi and Satoko didn't say anything. They were all very surprised when I pointed it out.

We did the activity using the map and Satoko, Juinichi and Akiko were the winners. They almost got to "Z" before time ran out.

At the end of the class we listened toThe Christmas Song and I was surprised that few people were familiar with it. It was written by Mel Torme.

I hope everyone has a good Christmas and a happy New Year. I hope I can tell you about seeing the northern lights.
