4A

Rie will be going to Tokyo for two weeks of training for her new job. Manami has a job interview for tomorrow, so we want to wish her luck. Yukie had good news from the Nanohana Marathon that she ran in over the long weekend. She was 5th in her category which had about 2000 runners! Congratulations Yukie! Maki is just very busy with the Tokachikawa Swan Festival. She is having to work a lot of overtime.

We talked about monuments. (See 4L for links to monuments). This class came up with some interesting designs, but I don't think they will get built anytime soon. Like the Friday class I gave everyone a special assignment to find out about different monuments. We will see what their research produces next week. Also do the Grammar in Detail section.

My Weekend

Well, we had two beautiful days this weekend. I hope you were all outside enjoying it. I spent most of both days outside. On Saturday I made a cross country ski course near my house. I had to use snowshoes to make the first couple rounds, but after that we were able to ski. It was such a nice day that my wife and I enjoyed a cup of coffee on the deck and decided that on Sunday we would have a jinkuskan BBQ. We invited Hans, Alison, Tom, Lisa and some other JOY staff. We had really good time and it wasn't too cold.

Here are some pictures. A picture named BBQ.jpg
