We talked about virutual reality and the different applications. Also at the beginning of class we talked about the Dean campaign and how it is using the internet. I mentioned that they have been using Meetup.com to organize volunteers. I looked over the site and it looks interesting.

I also mentioned a new kind of software that can read XML files. Here is a list of aggregators that you can check out. Some are free and the others are really cheap. I couldn't find a Japanese explanation. I think once you start using it you will like them. It really speeds up the process of getting information. Not a lot of sites provide the files, but the number is growing.

Next week we will finish up talking about the internet.

We had a packed class today, everyone showed up plus Keiko from last night's class. We went over the homework and everyone talked about their favorite stores. Keiko mentioned a new bakery in the Minamimachi area near the Daiichi supermarket. It sounds good. I will have to check it out.

More snow today. Wednesdays are the snow day this year. When I get home tonight I will have to blow snow. I am not sure if the neighbors like me running my snow blower at ten at night, but if I don't it is harder to do in the morning.

The homework for next week is to do numbers 1 and 2 in the Solo exercise.
