Yuki lost his first match in the judo tournament, but the the guy who beat him went on to take third place. Yuuki took the Eiken test and thinks she did okay.
We did a little more practice of giving definitions. Some people came up with some good ones. We then talked about the sterotypes people in Honshu have of Hokkaido. We started Unit 11 and did the listening exercises. The homework for next week is to do the Language Check and figure out how to explain Setsubun in English.

People created some interesting telephone dialogues for the memos in the book. The one that gave people problems was the note to Yvette. They weren't quite sure who was taking the note. When I thought about it later is almost seemed like it was the type of message you might leave on an answering machine.
