4A

We continued talking about monuments and landmarks. We went over the Vocabulary in Detail section. There were a lot of good examples on how to use the geographic terms together with adjectives. If you look at some websites that describe natural landmarks you will see others. For example go here and here. The homework for next week is to write about one natural and one man-made landmark in Hokkaido. Remember this is a travel guide type of explanation so use very descriptive language.

My Weekend

I did a carpentry project for my mother-in-law Saturday morning. She wanted a way to separate different futons in a closet, so I made a rack for her. I made it in sections so that it would fit in my car.

In the afternoon my wife and I ran some errands, but it was crowded and it took much longer than we thought. After that we went to Kamishihoro and I put together the rack. It fit in the closet nicely and works the way she wants it to.

Sunday I spent all day at JOY trying to set up a new server system. Hopefully, when I get things done people will have an easier time checking the different weblogs and JOY's website will have a lot more up-to-date information.
