Only two people tonight! Mayu showed up first and then Yukari came at about a quarter after. The high school students all have tests starting on Friday and Mayumi has a cold. Sachie and Masato are coming up to their busy time of the year. Kaoru we haven't seen in awhile so I am not sure what the problem is.
We did the Ensemble exercise and Mayu and Yukari did a pretty good job using the expressions. The realized how difficult it is to give your opinion.

We continued with talking about what is appropriate in different situations. The question came up about the difference between etiquette and manners. The meaning of the words is similar, but we use them differently. I gave a couple of example sentences in class. If you are interested there a lot of etiquette guides. Here is a link that might help you with your homework.
After class we had lunch at Rancho and had a very good time talking about a variety of topics. Mostly in English, but occasionally in Japanese. It is too bad Kiriko and Takahiro couldn't make it. Please add a comment 4:14:03 PM
