Hiroshi joined us from Tom's Step 1 class tonight. He had a little trouble with the Solo section, but the other students had done it as homework. They had some very good advice for Frustrated and each other for the different problems.
We also started Unit 12 which is going to be about giving and following directions. The first exercise was talking about cooking terms. Next week we will do the listening exercise. The homework is to do the Language Check and bring a simple recipe. Make sure it doesn't have too many steps. Please add a comment 2:41:02 PM

Everyone was complaining of sore muscles today after spending most of the day shoveling snow. Ikuko had a scare yesterday because her husband was in a car accident in Toyokoro. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, but he was okay. The car he was riding in was totaled. There have been a lot of accidents so be very careful; especially at intersections.
We did the Ensemble and had three interesting discussions. People really tried to use the different phrases, but it took time to get the one they wanted to use.
