It was nice to have several people back tonight. Maki and Rie must be busy these days. We continued with the unit on movies which was good timing because yesterday was the Academy Awards. I didn't watch any of it, but from what I read on the internet it was much calmer than in previous years.
We did the listening exercise and the homework for next time is to write a movie review of a movie you have seen recently. I mention there a lot of place to find movie reviews, so look around on the net at different examples. Please add a comment 3:44:04 PM
My Weekend
I had a nice weekend. On Saturday morning Hans and Alison came out to my house and Hans helped me shovel snow off my deck. We had pork bowl for lunch. It is one of his favorite dishes. After lunch I cleaned up the garage a little and then around three I went to Tokachikawa. I and some friends got together for a friend's birthday. We spent one night, had a good meal and relaxing bath. I got home on Sunday around 11:00. Some people came for lunch, so Noriko made pizza which turned out really well. We had a good time talking and eating. That night we watched Bowling for Columbine. It was a pretty controversial film and there were a lot of different opinions about it.
