NewsGator
I have been playing with NewsGator for a couple of days. It is pretty cool but I can't get used to using Outlook process my blogs subscriptions. I think outlook combines too many functions already. I would prefer a set of interoperable apps more like what Apple is doing. Still if you are an Outlook fan I think NewsGator is great.
Removed NewsGator. It left me with an undeletable folder in Outlook

iCommune
Wired: "Ex-Apple programmer Jim Speth is about to release new open-source software that lets a select group of users share files over the Internet." [Scripting News]
I wish he would set up a blog. His site allows you to ask to be notified. I would think blogging would go great with his commune idea.

Snow
It snowed again last night and for the first time this year I saw the plow this morning. What a weird winter, I sound like a guy from CA or FL and yet I have lived in MN most of my life.

Recipe WebService
Recipes WebServices. Search over 67,000 recipes. [New at XMethods]
Would I ever pay for such a service? What can services such as these provide thaI can't get for free using Google? Maybe what they need to provide is a recipe aggregator. A lot of potential service providers should look at rss and emulate the things that have made it so successful.
