HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Thankful, no thank you I’m thanknostic. Not really but I have a problem telling the people that they mean the world to me. My children are the only ones that truly know how I feel and I think I tell them so much that they have stopped listening. Liza is the same in some respects because after thirteen years I might be due for a change in material. I’m working on something for Christmas that should reaffirm my feelings but weather or not I can pull it off is another story. The next group of people to fall into the void are the rest of my family. My mom and dad have never refused a request of any kind and I have no way to show my appreciation. I could check in with Sammy and Julie every day and not get bored but man, would that be annoying. Sammy is the only person in the world with whom I can comfortably watch TV. If you don’t suffer from our affliction, you won’t understand. We both watch to be entertained so if something unpleasant is afoot, time to click away. It sounds worse than it is, in fact if people would just try it I know we could win them over. Than come my friends. When Tim was trying to die on me I was crying like a baby but now that he is out of the hospital we barely have time to check in with each other once a month. Tim is always willing to help and he hides his big heart behind the warmth of a contract killer. Mark is one of those people that I could not see for years but we could run into each other on the street and it would be like no time had passed. College friends that have drifted away make me heart sick because those were some of the closest relationships of my life. I find myself looking for old friends online late at night because I miss connections that shouldn’t be allowed to drift away. Current friends in the neighborhood are endlessly entertaining and I need another beer before I start crying about teachers that had an impact on my life.
