Good Morning this is now coming to you from my new but slightly used laptop. Once again, the gigantic hunks of feces at American Telephone and Telegraph are screwing with my internet connection so I have plenty of time to write. By time, I am referring to the fact that I can’t download any of the required updates that will allow me to install the software that I already have to run correctly under Windows XP. This is the last techno weenie whining I’m going to do for a while but I feel a little better. Just because I have time to write doesn’t mean I should waste it boring you. George and I ventured out to the much-advertised GIANT COMPUTER SHOW AND SALE yesterday and I was walking around in a state of overload. Even if you’re not into computer parts or bad Korean knock-offs of everything, the people watching at this thing is worth the nine-dollar admission. I kept stopping to eavesdrop on lying sales people. This is a definite buyer beware zone and people were purchasing complete systems built to order. My favorite vendor was Franks Computers because if this guys name was Frank I am the Ayatollah Tomahney. I listened to ”Frank” tell a customer that his computers are the same as any others but better because they are made fresh at the show. I’m not sure what the expiration date is on knock-off computer parts but I do know that “Frank” will no longer be in town. I was also wholly unimpressed by his cardboard box divider that served as the clean room. I watched more cash change hands than I was comfortable with and I couldn’t even bring myself to but some extremely cheap software. George had to buy something so he settled on the cd cases. It was a much better purchase than the last crap show we went to where he purchased a fine set of Germann Cutlery. Appearantly the extra N stands for made in Korea and not very sharp. 12:00:00 AM    says you
